Reason for this Quarantine Notice
Some early Vanquish Zagato Shooting Brake vehicles were built with parts that have since been updated. These new
parts will be supplied with the vehicle when it is delivered to your dealership. This document gives instructions on how to
replace these early design components with the updated parts.
This document contains the parts that follow:


Part A – Replace the Bracket



Part B - Front Lower Gurney



Part C - Front Air Dam



Part D - Rear Aero Fences

All parts of this document must be completed on every vehicle in the VIN list.

Workshop Procedure
Part A – Replace the Bracket for the Park Brake Cable
1. Raise the vehicle and make it safe
2. Visually inspect the bracket for the park brake cable.


If the bracket is the same as Figure 1, do steps
3 thru 15 to replace the bracket.



If the bracket is the same as Figure 2, no
additional work is necessary. Go to Part B.

Note: The updated bracket has additional
reinforcement where the cables are installed.

3. Remove the right side rear wheel and tyre (refer to Workshop Manual procedure 04.04.EC).
4. Release the park brake cable eyelet from the park
brake caliper lever (refer to Figure 3).

5. Use the special tool to compress the ring clip on the
park brake cable (refer to Figure 4).

6. Release the park brake cable from the park brake
bracket (refer to Figure 5).

7. Use the special tool to compress the ring clip on the
park brake cable (refer to Figure 6).

8. Release the park brake cable from the park brake
bracket (refer to Figure 7).

9. Remove the three bolts that attach the park brake
bracket to the rear subframe (refer to Figure 8).

10 Remove the park brake bracket (refer to Figure 9).

11 Put the new park brake bracket into position (refer to
Figure 10).

12 Install and torque the three bolts that attach the park
brake bracket to the rear subframe to 22 Nm (refer to
Figure 11).

13 Install the park brake cable into the park brake
bracket (refer to Figure 12).

14 Install the park brake cable into the park brake
bracket (refer to Figure 13).

15 Connect the park brake cable to the lever for the park
brake caliper (refer to Figure 14).

Part B - Front Lower Gurney
16 Visually inspect the front of the undertray.


If the front lower gurney is installed, do steps
17 thru 20.



If the front lower gurney is not installed, go to
Part C.

17 Remove the six screws that attach the front lower
gurney to the front bumper cover (refer to Figure 16).

18 Remove and discard the front lower gurney (refer to
Figure 17).

19 Install and torque the four screws for the front
bumper cover to 5 Nm (refer to Figure 18).

20 Install and torque the two screws for the front bumper
cover to 5 Nm (refer to Figure 19).

Part C - Front Air Dam
21 Visually inspect the air dam on the front undertray.


If the air dam is the same as Figure 20 it must
be replaced. Do steps 22 thru 25.



If the air dam is the same as Figure 21, no
additional work is necessary. Go to step 27.

22 Remove the three screws that attach the air dam to
the front undertray (refer to Figure 22).

23 Remove and discard the air dam (refer to Figure 23).

24 Put the new air dam into position (refer to Figure 24).

25 Install and torque the three screws that attach the air
dam to the front undertray to 9 Nm (refer to
Figure 25).

Part D - Rear Aero Fences
26 Visually inspect the aero fences in front of the rear
wheels.


If the aero fence is the same as Figure 26 it
must be replaced. Do steps 27 thru 34.



If the air dam is the same as Figure 27, no
additional work is necessary. Go to step 35.

Note: The updated aero fence is larger near where
the nut is installed.

27 Remove the nut that attaches the right side aero fence
to the vehicle body (refer to Figure 28).

28 Remove the two screws that attaches the right side
aero fence to the vehicle body (refer to Figure 29).

29 Remove and discard the right side aero fence (refer to
Figure 30).

30 Put the new right side aero fence into position (refer
to Figure 31).

31 Install and torque the screw that attaches the right
side aero fence to the vehicle body to 5 Nm (refer to
Figure 32).

32 Install and torque the screw that attaches the right
side aero fence to the vehicle body to 9 Nm (refer to
Figure 33).

33 Install and torque the nut that attaches the ride side
aero fence to the vehicle body to 5 Nm (refer to
Figure 34).
Note: Install a new square washer

34 Do steps 27 thru 33 for the left side of the vehicle.
35 If the wheel was removed in step 3:


Install the right side rear wheel and tyre (refer to Workshop Manual procedure 04.04.EC).

If the wheel was not removed from the vehicle:


Lower the vehicle.
