Technical Background
The vehicle may come in with the concern of Blind Spot Detection and Side Assist Inoperative.
U104500 lane change assistance control module no communication is present in “Address: 0019 - Diagnostic
interface for data bus”.
SVM will not update the -J1086- using technical bulletins 2051570 (96-18-04), 2052500 (96-18-07) or 2051421 (9618-08).
Service
Verify module communication:
Check with the scan tool and or check the fault log generated for AW3C.
If the module is not communicating:
Diagnose following normal diagnosis.
