SITUATION:
The left and/or right seat backrest cover may be loose. This condition affects performance and sports
only.
CAUSE:
This may be caused by insufficient seat backrest cover retention.
ACTION:
Should a customer express this concern, refer to the Service Instruction and then follow the Workshop
Procedure below.

Position the seat backrest cover to one side.

CAUTION:
Take care when removing the trim panel as trim clips can become dislodged and fall into
the seat assembly.

Remove the seat airbag trim panel and verify that the 4 trim clips are installed.
If all 4 of the trim clips are present, go to Step 4.
If 1 or more fo the trim clips is not present, go to Step 3.

NOTE:
Gently tap (by hand only) the seat backrest to dislodge the trim clips from the seat
assembly.

Position the seat trim to provide access and locate the missing trim clips.
Install the seat trim.
Go to the next Step.

Measure and mark the seat trim at 100 mm and 160 mm from the bottom of the seat trim.

CAUTION:
Do not cut the seat trim stitching.
NOTES:
Use the marks made in Step 4 for the start point of each cut.
The measurements shown refer to the same measurements that were marked in step 4.

Use a suitable tool to cut and discard the highlighted areas of the seat trim shown.

Make sure that the trim clip is flush with the bottom of the seat trim.
