As a dealer, you have the right to receive a vehicle with a serviced battery.
To check this is the case, you should carry out the following steps:

If you wish to exchange a battery because of a red CC message,
you must first carry out the ISTA Energy diagnosis test module.
A necessary battery exchange can be submitted within 24 hours
after vehicle hand-over as transport damage, with a refund claim.

2 DATA TRANSFER TO IGNITION KEY.

1. Press start/stop button two times.*
2. Press the following:
a) Press and hold central locking system.
b) Press and release start/stop button.*
c) Release central locking system.
3. Hold ignition key front directly to key symbol at steering
column. Hold still.
Check Control message “service data will be updated”.
4. An acoustic symbol after 3 - 5 seconds signals successful
data transfer. The CC message disappears. If no acoustic signal
sounds at the end, a fault message will be displayed.

1. Press the following combination:
a) Press and hold central locking system.
b) Press start/stop button 3 x within 4 seconds and release.*
c) Release central locking system.
2. Within the next 10 seconds, hold ignition key front directly
to key symbol on the steering column. Hold still.
Check Control message “service data will be updated”.
3. 2 acoustic signals after a few seconds signal successful
data transfer. The CC message disappears.
If no acoustic signal sounds, a fault message will be displayed.

 If a battery has undergone exhaustive discharge, it was
damaged in advance.
 A red CC message appears in the instrument cluster.
 This can only be deleted by exchanging the battery.
 Vehicle is not allowed to be handed over to the
customer with a red CC message.
Damaged batteries must be exchanged before
the hand-over to the customer!
