DESCRIPTION

This document will guide the user through replacing the boost control solenoid vacuum line harness (p/n 1885394C1) with

locally sourced parts, until the OEM part shortage is resolved.

1. Install Wheel Chocks

6. Remove Fender, Inner Panel /Passenger (right) Side

7. Disconnect Connector Plug /MAF Sensor from Air Inlet Duct

8. Remove Hose /Air Compressor Inlet from Air Inlet Duct/Position Spring Clamp to Rear of Hose

9. Loosen Nut /Clamp Nuts/Remove Air Inlet Duct from Air Filter Housing/LP Turbo Air Inlet Duct

10. Cut Tie Strap, Wiring /(3)/Remove HPCAC Hose Pipe/Loosen Clamp Nuts (2)

11. Remove Connector /Dump line from LP Turbo Air Inlet Duct Fitting (Long Line)

12. Remove Line Assembly /Dump from Rear of Boost Control Solenoid Fitting

13. Remove Connector /Turbocharger Wastegate Actuator from Wastegate Actuator Fitting (Short Line)

14. Remove Line Assembly /Wastegate Actuator from Side of Boost Control Solenoid Fitting/Remove Boost Control Solenoid

NOTE: LENGTHS CALLED OUT BELOW MAY DIFFER FOR CLEARANCE PURPOSES, VARYING BY

APPLICATION. USE DISCRETION FOR CLEARANCE AND TO ENSURE NO KINKS FORM IN THE LINES,

ONCE REMAINING/SURROUNDING COMPONENTS ARE REASSEMBLED. DO NOT TIGHTEN ZIP TIES

UNTIL LINES ARE ORIENTED PROPERLY.

1. Cut one piece of tubing at 13 inches

2. Cut one piece of tubing at 12 inches

3. Connect the 13 inch piece to the wastegate actuator nipple and the boost control solenoid nipple that is facing outward and to

the right side of the engine (see figure #1).

4. Connect the 12 inch piece to the nipple on the plastic intake elbow and to the boost control solenoid nipple facing downwards

(see figure #2).

5. Route the 12 inch piece underneath the 13 inch piece, to reduce chance of kinking. Apply zip ties at the connections and cut

off excess (see figure #3).

6. Install Pipe, Charge Air Cooler /HPCAC Hose Pipe/Tighten Spring Clamp Nuts Securely

7. Install Tie Strap, Wiring /Holding Hoses to HPCAC

8. Install Air Intake Duct /to Air Filter Housing/LP Turbo Air Inlet Duct/Tighten Securely

9.Install Air Compressor Inlet Hose /to Air Inlet Duct/Reposition Hose Clamp

10. Connect Sensor, Mass Air Flow (MAF) /Sensor Connector

11. Install Fender, Inner Panel /Passenger (Right) Side

12. Close Hood

13. Tag Service Part(s) /for Return

14. Return Service Tool(s)

15. Remove Wheel Chocks
