DESCRIPTION
This document will guide the user through on correcting a potential issue with a coolant hose on CE Buses with PSI engines.
SYMPTOM(s)
SES light on for Mechanical System Not Responding or Out of Adjustment//Engine Coolant Temperature. Also poor heater
performance inside the bus.

REPAIR STEP(s)
REMOVAL PROCEDURE:
Figure # 2: Hose kink on supply line
Item 1: Straight pipe fitting
Item 2: Loom
Item 3: Double clamp
Item 4: Hose clamp
1. Turn off coolant supply valve connected to straight pipe fitting (item 1) shown in Figure 2
2. Clamp off coolant line approximately 5" to the right of the double clamp (item 3) in Figure 2
3. Remove double clamp from supply and return lines and discard

4. Pull back loom as far as needed
5. Loosen hose clamp, item 4, and slide up hose for later use
6. Remove hose from straight fitting (note: coolant will come out the end of the hose, so a small bucket may be useful)
7. Remove straight fitting and discard
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE:

Item 1: 45 degree fitting

Item 3: single clamp
Item 4: hose clamp
1. install new 45 degree fitting as shown in Figure 3
2. install hose onto new 45 degree fitting, please note that the hose may need to be shortened to optimize the fit
3. slide hose clamp back down into position and tighten
4. reinstall loom cover over the hose, it may need trimming also
5. Install single clamp to return line only in place of the previously removed double clamp
6. Hose routing should look similar to Figure 3. Supply valve can be reopened and line clamp remove.
