Brake lights staying on due to brake pedal not returning and binding.
SYMPTOMS
• Cruise control not working
• Brake lights staying on
• If conditions is present long enough, ABS

Decision
Yes: Please proceed to step 3.
With both the primary and secondary air tanks full and equal pressures.
Open ACOMS and monitor the primary and secondary application pressure
sensors.

No: Diagnose the pressure sensors and
or pressure sensor's circuits.
Without the brakes depressed, pull up on the pedal and record the sensors
readings. Are they both reading 0psi (+- 2 psi)?
With the brakes are fully depressed. Are the two sensors reading full tank
pressure?
Step Action
DIAGNOSTIC:
A light brake apply and a slow brake release may be needed to duplicate the
brake lights hanging on.
Decision
Yes: Lift the brake pedal with your hand
and release the pedal.
If the brake lights turn off the proceed to
the resolution.
If lights are still on, proceed to other
switch, wiring and air system
Are the brake lights on with no pressure being applied to the brake pedal? diagnostics.

No: Lightly press the brake pedal and
release.
If the lights stay on move to the
resolution section.
If the lights turn off, then no correction is
needed.
