Updated Detroit Heavy Duty Engine Platform Standard Repair Times
HDEP
SRT
Update
Please be aware that DTNA is adjusting six (6) Standard Repair Times (SRTs) for Detroit Heavy Duty Engine
Platform (HDEP) models in certain vehicle models. The new times are effective immediately.
The updates are the result of an SRT data review after the migration of Detroit powertrain components to
OWL. DTNA’s analysis identified opportunities for improvement and simplification regarding standard repair
tasks included in some procedures. For example, by increasing the High Pressure Fuel Pump Camshaft Oil
Seal R&R SRT, service locations will no longer have to add individual SRTs for repairing and replacing the
pump and seal, respectively. A single SRT for the total time necessary to complete the repair can now be
applied to a claim.
A location that previously filed a claim in OWL with an applicable SRT may be able to claim the time
difference through a supplemental claim; see the Supplemental Claim Submission Quick Reference Guide
(WAR417-04) for eligibility.
The tables below identify impacted SRTs, the range of hour adjustments, engine series, and chassis service
models; for a chassis service model cross-reference guide, see page 4. Any questions regarding SRTs may
be submitted through the Warranty Support Center (WSC).
