SITUATION
The customer states there is a small twitch / pulse of the steering wheel (1 second intervals) when
the steering wheel heating is active.
Note: The complaint is more noticeable with a cold steering wheel and vehicle voltage higher than
14 volts.
CAUSE
Steering wheel control unit
CORRECTION
Replace steering wheel control unit
PROCEDURE
1. Reproduce cold steering wheel and battery voltage condition (connect battery charger).
2. Verify the customer complaint.
3. If the customer complaint can be reproduced, replace the steering wheel heating control
unit.
