Service Procedure
1. Is the vehicle a 2014-2016 F-Super Duty equipped with a 6.7L engine and built on or before 11-Nov-2015?
(1). Yes - proceed to Step 2.
(2). No - this article does not apply. Refer to the Powertrain Control/Emissions Diagnosis (PC/ED) Manual for
normal diagnostics.
2. Using the appropriate Ford scan tool, retrieve DTCs. Are DTCs P04DB, P04E2 and/or P04E3 stored in the PCM?
(1). Yes - proceed to Step 3.
(2). No - this article does not apply. Refer to the PC/ED Manual for normal diagnostics.
3. Install the crankcase ventilation collar kit on top of the existing crankcase ventilation oil separator assembly. Refer
to the instructions included with the kit.
4. Reprogram the PCM using the latest version of the appropriate Ford scan tool.
