A 'Hood open' message may be displayed on the Instrument Cluster (IC) or the security system status

indicator may give an audible warning to indicate that the hood is not latched correctly. Upon further

inspection, the hood is correctly latched.

This may be caused by water ingress into the hood latch micro switch.

ACTION:

Should a customer express this concern, refer to the Service Information and then follow the

Workshop Procedure below.

The date code (DD MM YY) of the new hood latch must be 27 04 18 (27 April 2018) or later.
