MOSS Hybrid V19.0 Release and Diagnostics D3.45 Release Notes

All current MOSS applicable models

Installation:

DVD sets of MOSS Hybrid V19.0 are expected to arrive in dealerships soon as part of a normal stock
order, part number 01 99 7 721 741. The software package "MOSS hybrid V19.0" consists of three
DVDs, which have to be installed on the MOSS PC, much like what was done with Hybrid V18.0.
Each DVD set contains installation instructions.
The DVD set "MOSS hybrid V19.0" includes diagnostic data based on ISTA D3.45. Diagnostics
D3.45 is published with the ISTA 3.0 application V12300 or higher.
Release Notes are typically available in the Download section of MOSS but highlights are included
here for your convenience.

Important Note:
It is highly recommended that you document the network configuration settings (such as printer settings and static IP address if used) before
installing MOSS hybrid.
After a successful installation of MOSS hybrid all individual settings (network configuration, selected portal, standard printer,) should be taken over automatically.
The start screen of MOSS hybrid shows the number of protocols which could not be sent back. If
sending is not carried out in the first few minutes after the boot of the MOSS hybrid please contact
MOSS support.
All appropriate applications will be updated automatically. At the date of installation further update
versions can be available. It is recommended to install all updates before using MOSS hybrid.
Approximately every two weeks new VIN packages for ISTA will be provided as updates.
New
contents:

No new models have been added.

New
functions:

Interactive diagnosis for the new ABS Pro optional extra of the HP4 (K42).
Diagnostic ranges for the high-voltage system of the C evolution (K17) Not currently sold in the US.

Tips for
users:

Communication faults, models with MA 2.4 engine management and ABS:
These models have the communication lines of the engine management ECU and the ABS connected to the same pin of the diagnostic socket, which means that there is a possibility of mutual
disruption of communication by these control units (one or both control units going to yellow "control unit not answering" status).
Measures:
After the vehicle test, go to the control-units tree or the list of control units, select the control
unit to be tested, and run the control-unit functions individually.
If this measure fails to produce the desired effect:
With the ignition switched off, disconnect the control unit you do not want to test and re-run
diagnosis with the remaining control unit.
If communication with the control unit is unsuccessful despite both these measures, run diagnosis
in the usual way for the control unit that is not answering.

Known
bugs:

Diagnosis feedback (envelope icon) does not work in ISTA 3.45. Use the "Support" function in the
MOSS to send feedback messages with the ISTA 3.45 version (MOSS hybrid 19.0).
