Updated 08 July 2014: Warranty labour codes have been amended. Please use these new codes moving
forward.

1. Situation
A small number of new Rolls-Royce Ghosts and Wraiths will require the below check to be completed due
to a noise being caused by the front wheel of the car rubbing against the front wheel arch liner.
The list of affected chassis numbers can be found in ISPA Light or S-Gate.
2. Procedure
Note: before proceeding, please ensure the wheels are loaded with the weight of the vehicle.
1. Move the steering wheel from left to right with a second person checking for contact in the area
highlighted in the image below

If there is no contact then no further action is required.
2. If contact is found, please remove both front ‘front section’ wheel arch liners to check for correct
fitment of the Cooler Air Guides. Please refer to ISTA repair instruction no 51 71 038.
The below image shows the incorrectly fitted part on the right side of the vehicle.
Right side of vehicle:
The front left inner cooler guide has been
fitted to the right hand outer cooler guide
position in error.

3. If the cool air guides are fitted incorrectly then:
a.

The ‘Outer Cooler Air Guide - right’ needs to be removed and fitted to its correct position in
the left hand inner
b. The part removed from the left side inner needs to be fitted to the right hand outer position
