NOISES WHEN OPENING/CLOSING DOOR
MODEL
G12 (7 Series)

SITUATION
While opening or closing the door, a creaking noise is emitted from the door.

CAUSE
Friction between trim panel and the door where they make contact.

CORRECTION
Install adhesive tape at location where noise is being produced.

PROCEDURE
For conditions that are similar to the situation described:

1. Identify door producing the noise.
2. Remove trim panel according REP 51 41 000
Front door trim panel (pic 1) on the left or right, or
REP 51 42 000 Rear door trim panel (pic 2) on
the left or right.

3. Attach tape (part# 51 41 8 170 727) where trim

panel is touching door producing noise.
If exact location cannot be determined, place
tape on areas indicated. Be careful to install tape,
as shown, so that it is not visible when the trim
panel is reinstalled.
4. Reinstall trim panel.
