DESCRIPTION:
There may be a knocking noise from the rear spring aid (bump stop rubber) if the spring aid is loose in
the upper spring seat installation.
SERVICE:
*VST Operation No. modified
Verify the symptom by wiggling on the rear spring aid (picture #1).
If the spring aid seems to be ok, then continue fault tracing the car for other possible causes.
If the spring aid is loose:
• Remove the spring aid from the spring seat and install two pieces of rubber material in the bottom of
the spring seat (picture #2).
• Reinstall the spring aid and check that it is sitting tight in the spring seat.

If the symptom still occur check ref TJ: 30729.
