Note:

Use bulk data link wire when installing telematics devices

1. It is recommended that telematic devices are installed on the Body 250K Data Link and not spliced into the 500K Data Link.

◦ Splicing into the data link may result in erroneous fault codes and/or accessories to not operate properly.

2. If a connection to the 500K Data Link is required a Y-Cable should be used to make the connection at the 9-Pin diagnostic connector.

3. Once telematics device has been installed be sure to verify proper operation of accessories and that no codes become active.

◦ If accessories do not operate properly or codes become active contact the telematic manufacturer for assistance.

4. It is recommended that only one telematics device be attached the data link, if more then one device is connected it can cause the data link to

crash.
