APPLIES TO:

This service bulletin applies to 2017 through 2019 model year,
Gladiator and MetroStar Emergency Response, cabs built between
10/13/2016 and 8/16/2018.

CONDITION:

Engine heating conditions may cause a breakdown with the loom
associated with wiring inside the righthand side of the engine tunnel.

CORRECTION:

Inspect convoluted loom for cracking, powdering, signs of melting, or
fragmentation. If damaged convoluted loom is found, contact Customer
& Product Support Group for further assistance.

1. Remove any clamps from affected area that are holding the harnessing in place and
properly dispose of. Refer to FIG. 2.1.

2. Heatshield needs to form around harnessing. Heatshield needs to start outside of
engine tunnel as harness enters inside of tunnel. Keep approximately 6” of heatshield
outside of engine tunnel. Refer to FIG. 3.1.

3. Work heatshield up harness and secure hook and loop fastener strip. Secure first clamp
within one foot of harness entering engine tunnel and tight to rear corner of tunnel.

4. Secure harnessing to inside corners of tunnel using clamps not greater than one foot
apart. Clamps should be secured with fasteners, and heatshield should be neat and not
twisted. Rotate hook and loop seam towards rear of tunnel away from heat source.

5. Each end of heatshield must be closed using a tie strap. Locate tie strap approximately
1-2” from each end of heatshield and secure. Refer to FIG. 6.1.
