PURPOSE
This bulletin contains important new model service
information and features for the 2019 Outlander
Sport (U.S. models only). Review the details that
follow to familiarize yourself regarding new features
and options. Refer to the 2019 Outlander Sport
Service Manual on MEDIC, MDL, or CD (p/n
MSCD-017B-2019), and the Owner's Manual for details
on these and other features.

A new DTC, P0402, has been adopted and added to diagnostics on the MFI system.
D DTC P0402: Exhaust Gas Recirculation Flow Excessive Detected
D Description: Large manifold pressure change during exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) operation
from closed to open.
D Suspected area: EGR valve and EGR passage failed (air suction); ECM failed.
NOTE: Drive cycle pattern of P0402 is the same as P0489 and P0490.

New for 2019, the GT model replaces SEL and SEL Touring models. The SEL Touring Package is
discontinued for 2019 Outlander Sport.

Combination soft-touch seating surfaces are now
standard on new GT models.
CONVENIENCE
Smartphone Link Display Audio (SDA)
Smartphone Link Display Audio, compatible with
Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™, already
standard on SE models, will come standard on GT
models.
GT models will also come standard with a 3-month
trial subscription to SiriusXM© Satellite Radio (as
does SE already).
The system includes enhanced features for
SiriusXM© Satellite Radio including Artist/Song Alert,
Game Alert, Sports Flash, Smart Favorites, Tune Mix,
Tune Scan, Tune Start, and Parental Lock.
