AFFECTED VEHICLES
This Service Action involves F25 (X3) and F26 (X4) produced from July 13, 2015 to July 14, 2015.
Vehicles which require this Service Action to be completed will show it as “Open” when checked either in the
"Service Menu" of DCSnet (Dealer Communication System) or with the Key Reader.

SITUATION
Both rear side “fixed” windows need to be replaced due to incorrect glue application, this may cause a water
leak.

CORRECTION
Replace both rear side “fixed” windows.

PROCEDURE
Replace both rear side windows. Refer to ISTA repair instructions “5136070 removing and installing / replacing
left or right side window”.

PARTS INFORMATION
There are only 84 vehicles affected by this Service Action. Only order parts as needed since parts availability is
limited.

Third-Party Fixed Side Window Replacements

Invoice this work (the labor portion only) on the repair order at the actual cost charged with no handling or
markup. The sublet amount must also include any discounts or allowances.
Prior to having the third-party perform this repair, determine the appropriate charge for performing the
“necessary repair-related work procedures” by comparing their estimated repair cost against the corresponding
amount that is based on your warranty rates.
It is your center’s responsibility to review the estimate to ensure the amount requested for perform this
repair work is customary, fair and reasonable. Also, it must not exceed the scope of the repair work that
is described in this bulletin.
Please itemize the sublet amount on the repair order and in claim comment section.

any vehicle covered by this notification until the delivery stop repair has been
performed. This means that centers may not legally deliver new motor vehicles to a
consumer until it is fixed or use/sell replacement equipment/parts subject to a
delivery stop. Note also that substantial civil penalties apply to violations of this law.
Also, you should not sell, lease or deliver any Certified Pre-Owned or used vehicles
subject to a delivery stop until the repair is completed.
