Title

Expired - ** Tech Tip ** TT - 001 - 2015 - How And When To Diagnose A P0402 Code

Cause

OBD 2013 / GHG ( 2014 ) Trucks with P0402 codes.
We have seen an increased number of trucks ( specifically OBD 2013 ) logging P0402
codes intermittently ( once a week or less ) with EMS Main SW 22396799 or later.
We believe this fault code ( DTC ) is NOT turning on any lamps on these vehicles.
This code would not cause any other engine performance issues, as this code gets logged
in - frequently.
We are still investigating reasons for this significant uptick in P0402 codes with latest
EMS software.
