An Engine Information Label is provided with aftermarket replacement engines, (short
blocks, exchange and basic). A few engine offerings may be utilized for more than one
Regulation Period. If one of these engines needs to be changed to a different Regulation
Period, these engines need to have the current Engine Information Label removed and
replaced with the correct label. If an engine label needs to be replaced, dealers can order
engine labels from the Parts Technical department.
In order to supply factory quality labels, all labels MUST be ordered via requests from Parts
Technical.
To order a replacement label:
1 Complete the included form with the current label part number, engine serial number,
vehicle identification number and a PO number. Complete the attached “Required
Information” form. Attach the completed form to the E-Service case.
2 The label will be printed and shipped within 24 to 48 hours of receiving the E-Service case
on Monday through Friday.
3 Your dealer account number will be billed $50 US or $75 CAD against your PO number as
"Engine Label."
Note: Applications must be completed and ordered by the dealers only.
Engine label replacements are needed for a variety of reasons such as: engine replacement
and lost or missing labels. Engine label replacements are available from 1996 to current.
Note: Engine label replacement requests must be completed and ordered by a
certified VOLVO dealer only.
