A small number of Rear Panel - Brake Light Trim Strip Assemblies have blackware finishers painted using an incorrect procedure.
Remedy
Replace the Rear Panel - Brake Light Trim Strip Assembly.

Technical background
A small number of Rear Panel - Brake Light Trim Strip Assemblies have blackware finishers painted using an incorrect procedure.
Check
If the vehicle is not already listed as repaired in the “Repair history" (in Elsa pro), check for the presence of a white campaign identification mark on the
convertible roof mechanism - see Figure 1 - should neither be evident carry out the required work in accordance with these instructions.

The required replacement parts should be ordered from Bentley Motors Limited Crewe or through your regional Bentley parts distribution centre.
Work
Refer to Repair Group 94 Lights, lamps, switches outside – Lamps – High mounted stop lamp (HMSL) – To remove and fit, follow the
procedure until the instruction “With the aid of an assistant, carefully remove the “brightware/blackware” assembly from the vehicle and
place fixing side up on a protective surface”.
Fit new assembly - 3W7 853 327F - refer to Repair Group 94 Lights, lamps, switches outside – Lamps – High mounted stop lamp (HMSL)
– To remove and fit use the relevant sections to install the new assembly.
Note: When working to Repair Group 94 Lights, lamps, switches outside – Lamps – High mounted stop lamp (HMSL) – To remove
and fit, the original assembly should be disposed of when removed, it is not necessary to conduct the disassembly process prior to
disposal.
Identification
Upon completion apply a white campaign identification mark on the convertible roof mechanism - see Figure 1.
