PROCEDURE:
1. Turn the main battery disconnect switch to the “OFF” position.

The Electric Drive System uses hazardous High Voltage (HV) electrical energy. There is a risk of
electric shock. Only trained service personnel should access components of the electric drive
system. Failure to observe all HV electrical safety precautions may result in personal injury
and/or death. The highest concerns are for the safety of service personnel working on the
vehicle and others in the vicinity, and in
minimizing the potential for damage to property. Death, serious injury, and significant material
damage will result if safety rules are not followed. Please refer to the Preventive Maintenance
section of your Service Manual under the Safety heading for more information.
DO NOT perform any maintenance on roof-mounted components unless equipment is in place
to prevent fall hazards. Ensure maintenance personnel use approved lift platforms or
scaffolding and wear approved safety harness when working on the roof of the vehicle. Please
refer to the Preventive Maintenance section of your Service Manual under the Safety heading for
more information.
2. On the roof of the bus, re-torque the nuts that fasten the side screen brackets to the roof of the bus to 50 Ft/Lbs
using a properly calibrated torque wrench. There are ten locations with two nuts each. Please see Figure 1 for
locations.

3. Remove all tools and debris and return the bus to service condition.
4. Turn the main battery disconnect switch to the “ON” position.
