Service
1. Before proceeding, ensure that the gas cap was tight, and that the DTC is present.
2. Test for a leak by first calibrating tester KLI9210 to 0.02 inch port with 14 inch/water as described on the
tester. Set marker on flow meter to this position and take a picture for documentation.
3. Block off the filter port on the NVLD sensor (Figure
1).

4. Connect the tester to the vehicle and pressurize the system (3–5 minutes).
5. Take a picture of the flow meter.
6. Remove the purge line from the N80 valve.
7. Generate smoke with the smoke function of the KLI9210 tester until smoke comes out of the purge line on
the N80 side.
8. Smoke EVAP system under pressure.

9.  If smoke is escaping around the filler neck of the
fuel tank (wheel liner removed) replace fuel tank
(Figure 2).
 If no leak can be found, contact TAC.
