Issue
The manufacturing line has found lifting eye bolts to be under torqued.
Verification/Confirmation
Check all lifting eye bolts for proper torque specification.
Customer Communication
When units come in for service maintenance check all lifting eye bolts on C275 D2Re
and C300 D6R generator sets for proper torques. If they are not in specification, torque
to specification. (Refer to Service Instructions)
Service Instructions
This repair should be done by qualified and authorized technicians only.
1. Tools needed:
◦ Torque wrench
◦ 15/16 socket

2. Check that torque on the lifting eye bolts is 259-316 Nm (191-233 ft-lb). Torque as
necessary.
3. If torque is necessary, torque each bolt in a star pattern.
