REAR CAMERA INSTALLATION

This procedure shows how to install a rear camera. This installation has to be performed by a certified
Prevost technician.

PROCEDURE

DANGER
Park vehicle safely, apply parking brake, stop the engine. Prior to working on the vehicle, set the
ignition switch to the OFF position and trip the main circuit breakers equipped with a trip button. On
Commuter type vehicles, set the battery master switch (master cut-out) to the OFF position.

CAUTION
Avoid contact with the camera lens.

1. Locate the rear camera installation location
(Figure 1).

2. Remove the screws (4) and the protective tape
(Figure 2). Discard these parts.

3. Remove camera cover with a Torx tool
included with camera kit (Figure 3).

4. Remove the protective paper on both sticky
back gaskets #380143.
5. Install both gaskets on the back face of the
camera (Figure 4).

6. Run the camera wiring thru the center hole on
the vehicle rear cap (Figure 5).

7. Install the rubber seal supplied with the camera
into the center hole as shown in Figure 6.
8. Make sure the split on the rubber seal is facing
down before fixing the camera (Figure 6).

9. Fix the camera on the vehicle rear cap with
four flat washers #502556 and four screws
#502677. Apply Loctite #680038 on all screws.
Do not tighten the screws too much.

CAUTION
Avoid contact with the camera lens.

10. Reinstall the camera cover with two screws
(Figure 8).
11. Remove protective tape on the camera.

12. Perform a 30-minute water test. Drop water on
the top of the vehicle and make sure the water
flows around the camera (Figure 9).
13. If a leak is detected after 15 minutes of testing,
repair the leak and perform 30 minutes of
validation to make sure that the leak has in fact
been repaired and that there is not another
leak.
14. Bulletin is complete.

Connection of the camera with the control
system and all adjustments are the
responsibility of the camera supplier.
