Introduction

Some 2016 – 2018 model year RX350 vehicles equipped with a 2GR-FKS engine may exhibit an
oil leak from the cam sensor bolt hole(s). Follow the Repair Procedure in this bulletin to address
this condition.

Repair Procedure

1. Confirm the condition exists.
Does the vehicle exhibit an oil leak from one or more cam sensor bolt holes?
(Refer to Figures 1 – 4.)
 YES — Continue to step 2.


NO — This bulletin does NOT apply. Continue diagnosis using the applicable
Repair Manual.

Repair Procedure (continued)

2. Remove the affected cam housing.
Refer to TIS, applicable model and model year Repair Manual:
 2016 – 2017 RX 350:

2018 RX 350:
Engine/Hybrid System – Engine Mechanical –

3. Install the NEW cam housing.
NOTE
Replace ALL cam sensor bolts on the NEW cam housing with the supplied bolts. Do NOT reuse the
old cam sensor bolts.
