Dear Dealers,
Ongoing product tests and analysis of feedback from the field have determined an
opportunity for product improvement and we provided a new routing of the rear speed sensor
cable for the above-specified model. The new routing will prevent any interference of the rear
speed sensor cable with the chain sliding shoe.
Application
All motorcycles manufactured starting from 02/07/2018 will feature the new routing of the
rear speed sensor cable. Additionally, the 4 small self-locking ties, used starting from
02/07/2018 for the new routing of the rear speed sensor cable, will be later superseded by fast
points (cable guides), providing a more convenient solution in case of cable
removal/reassembly.
Customer Impact
All bikes in dealer stock (‘to be registered’ or ‘already registered’) and awaiting delivery to final
customers will require this inspection during pre-delivery operations, before delivery to the
final customer. All bikes already delivered to final customers must undergo this inspection and
below procedures at the next service appointment.
Parts Distribution
Only in cases where required, the parts to perform this improvement must be ordered
Individually by VIN.
Warranty Reimbursement
To request reimbursement of both labor and parts necessary to carry out the operations, fill in
a warranty claim of the NORM type.
