Bulletin Classification: This campaign bulletin addresses a known non-safety-related condition and provides
recommended technical diagnosis and repair procedures. Apply this procedure to all vehicles in the affected VIN range
listed. These instructions assume knowledge of motor vehicle and high voltage electrical component repairs, and should
only be executed by trained professionals. Tesla assumes no liability for injury or property damage due to a failure to
properly follow these instructions or repairs attempted by unqualified individuals.
Condition
Some Model S vehicles were manufactured with front suspension lower fore links that do not meet Tesla’s internal
specifications. The lower fore link may contact the sway bar mounting bracket, causing noise and the risk for damage to
front suspension components over time. This condition does not affect steering control or response.

Procedure
1. Replace the LH and RH front suspension lower fore links (refer to Service Manual procedures 31013402 and
31013502).
2. Inspect the stabilizer bar, the stabilizer bar mounting brackets, and stabilizer bar mounting bolts. If the stabilizer
bar, the stabilizer bar mounting brackets, or the stabilizer bar mounting bolts are damaged, replace the stabilizer
bar and the stabilizer bar mounting bolts (refer to Service Manual procedure 31012102).
3. Perform a Front Suspension Torque Check (refer to Service Manual procedure 31019000).
4. Perform a Four Wheel Alignment Check and Adjustment (refer to Service Manual procedure 31000100).

Affected Model S vehicles built between approximately April 28, 2016 and May 7, 2016.
