Installation Guide

Roll of hook Velcro
Strip of loop Velcro

Note: there is one step in this install
process where you will need to replace
the self-tapping screws with finishing
screws. It is noted in the guide.

Remove grey bulkhead above the side
door.

Note: the bulkhead is attached with
Velcro so it can simply be pulled off.

Attach strip of Hook Velcro along upper
cabinet, on the grey moulding.

Note: cutting a slit in the middle of this
Velcro strip will make it easier to fit in
this location.

Trim the Velcro to the bottom of the
upper cabinet.
Note: peel back weatherstripping and fit
Velcro underneath.

Attach Velcro along door frame above
the side door.

Continue attaching across the door
frame.

Note: the Velcro you attach will overlap
the existing Velcro already on the frame
from the grey bulkhead.

Attach a small strip of Velcro and trim
just above the white curtain track.

Attach strip of Velcro starting below the
white curtain track.
Note: make sure to cover the indent
along the door pillar.

Note: leave ¼” gap between the Velcro
and the weatherstripping.

Note: when you reach the black plastic
moulding, make sure to press the Velcro
into the indent.

Attach Velcro to the bottom of the pillar,
following the same path started above.
Continue the Velcro approx. 3 inches
onto the floor.

Attach Velcro strip along the wall above
the kitchen sink, leaving approx. ½ inch
between the plastic moulding.
Note: fit the Velcro to the top of the
upper cabinet and down to the kitchen
countertop.

Attach a 4 inch piece of LOOP Velcro to
the very end of metal entry step frame.
Note: this is the only time you will need
to use LOOP style Velcro for this install.

Attach Velcro along the kitchen wall in
the gap between the sliding door and the
kitchen.
Note: center the Velcro in this area as
best you can.

Orientate the screen to the correct
position for install.

Locate the rear upperv corner of the
screen.
Note: you will see a slight curve in
the Velcro, this is where you will begin
attaching the screen.

Fit the screen so the corner snugs up
against the upper cabinet.

Fasten top corner of the screen with
self-tapping screw.

Fasten screen 3 inches below previous
position with self-tapping screw.

Attach screen to Velcro along the door
frame.

Note: ensure the screen is fitting
squarely before fastening the next screw.

Fasten opposite corner of the screen with
self-tapping screw.
Note: ensure the screen is fitting tight in
the upper corner.

Note: ensure the opposite side is
wrinkle free before proceeding to the
next step.

Fasten top corner of the screen below the
upper cabinet with self-tapping screw.

Continue down the screen and fasten this flap of the screen with 3 more
self-tapping screws, evenly spaced.

Remove self-tapping screws and
complete with finishing screws.
Note: this is the only time you will need
to replace screws.

Fasten upper portion of the screen with
four more evenly spaced self-tapping
screws.

Note: position screws in the middle of
the Velcro sewn into the screen.

Note: make sure to not over tighten the
screws and tear through the screen.

Fasten upper portion of the screen with
one more self-tapping screw into the
grey panel.

Reinstall grey bulkhead.

Note: ensure corner of bulkhead is
firmly back into its original position.

Locate bottom flap of the screen.

Fold over the screen so it can fit into the
gap between the kitchen and the door.

Attach bottom flap of the screen to the
LOOP Velcro previously placed on the
metal entry step frame.

Fasten bottom flap of screen with two
finishing screws.

Fasten with second finishing screw.

Unzip the screen door.

Attach the screen to the Velcro strip
located in between the kitchen and the
door.

Note: fit the screen so that the Velcro
pieces lineup squarely.

Fasten the screen with four evenly
spaced finishing screws.

Note: position the screws in the middle
of the Velcro strip.

Fasten screen with two remaining
finishing screws.

Locate the front, bottom corner of the
screen.

Attach the corner of the screen directly
into the corner of the entrance step and
the pillar.
Note: it is very important to make sure
the screen it fitting snug into the corner.
If it is not, the screen door will not close
properly.

Attach the screen to the Velcro along the
front pillar.
Note: ensure the Velcro on the screen
fits squarely with the Velcro on the
pillar.

Fasten corner of the screen with
finishing screw directly in the corner.

Fasten bottom flap with one more
finishing screw.
Note: trim excess Velcro that may be
visible on the floor.

Locate the position directly above the
black moulding and fasten the screen
with a finishing screw.

Note: at this point you will need to roll
up the screen door so it is out of the way
for the rest of the install.

Attach the rest of the screen to the
Velcro on the pillar.

Locate spot where the upper black
moulding begins and fasten screen
directly below it with a finishing screw.
Note: position all screws in the middle
of the Velcro strip.

Tuck the screen underneath the
weatherstripping

Fasten top of screen with finishing
screw.

Fasten screen with three more evenly
spaced finishing screws.

Note: remember to position screws in
the middle of the Velco strip.

Tuck the screen to fit underneath the
weatherstripping.

Note: this is what the screen should
look like after it’s fitted underneath the
weatherstripping.

Note: tuck this section as best you can
under the weatherstripping.
