SUBJECT:
Right Rear Spring Shifted In Upper Isolator And Possible Clunk Noise
OVERVIEW:
This bulletin involves verifying the customer’s symptom/condition and if necessary,
replacing the rear suspension springs.

NOTE: This bulletin applies to vehicles built on or before November 27, 2013 (MDH
1127XX) equipped with GT Group (Sales Code ASU).
SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
Right side rear suspension spring is shifted in the upper spring mount isolator and possibly
a clunk noise can be heard or felt coming from the rear of the vehicle, while going over
bumps.
DIAGNOSIS:
If the customer describes the symptom, perform the Repair Procedure.

REPAIR PROCEDURE:
1. Inspect the positioning of the right side rear suspension spring in the upper spring seat
isolator (Fig. 1).

2. Is the right side rear spring shifted in the upper spring seat isolator (1) and/or possibly
touching the upper spring seat (2) as shown in (Fig. 2)?
a. Yes>>> Proceed to Step #3.
b. No>>> Continue further diagnosis, this bulletin does not apply.

3. Replace both the left and right rear springs. Refer to the detailed procedures available
in DealerCONNECT> TechCONNECT under: Service Info> 17 - Rear Suspension>
