THIS BULLETIN SUPERSEDES SERVICE BULLETIN 08-057-14, July 17, 2014, WHICH
SHOULD BE REMOVED FROM YOUR FILES. ALL REVISIONS ARE HIGHLIGHTED
WITH **ASTERISKS** AND INCLUDE NEW PART NUMBERS FOR THE TRUNK TRIM
PANELS AND THE REMOVAL OF THE SUB-WOOFER.
THIS SERVICE BULLETIN IS ALSO BEING RELEASED AS RAPID RESPONSE
TRANSMITTAL (RRT) 14-052. ALL APPLICABLE SOLD AND UN-SOLD RRT VIN's
HAVE BEEN LOADED. TO VERIFY THAT THIS RRT SERVICE ACTION IS
APPLICABLE TO THE VEHICLE, USE VIP OR PERFORM A VIN SEARCH IN
TECHCONNECT. ALL REPAIRS ARE REIMBURSABLE WITHIN THE PROVISIONS OF
WARRANTY.

Removal Of Beats Audio System
OVERVIEW:
This bulletin involves replacing the A-pillar trim panels, cargo covers, and amplifier.

REPAIR PROCEDURE:
1. **Disconnect the battery negative cable .
2. Replace the A-Pillar trim panels.
3. Partially remove door seal at A-Pillar.
4. Using trim stick C-4755 or equivalent, starting at the bottom and working up, pry the
A-pillar trim panel retaining clips out from the vehicle A-pillar.
5. Release black tether on A-Pillar trim panel.
6. Disconnect speaker electrical connector.
7. Flex A-Pillar trim panel out of headliner.
8. Remove A-Pillar trim panel from vehicle, verify orange retaining clip is still attached. If
retaining clip remains in the body panel then remove and discard it.
NOTE: The lower orange retainer clip may break during removal .

Transfer speaker to new A-pillar trim panel.
Remove the orange retainer clip from the new A-pillar trim panel.
Fully insert new orange retainer clip into the A-post body panel.
Slide new A-post trim panel over the retainer clip.
Snap A-pillar trim panel into retainer clip.
Connect speaker electrical connector.
Connect black tether.
Flex A-Pillar trim panel into headliner.
Snap A-pillar trim panel into place.
Install weather strip at A-Pillar. **
Repeat steps 2 through 18 for the other A-Pillar trim panel.
Replace the Amplifier, refer to the detailed removal and installation procedures
available in DealerCONNECT> TechCONNECT> under: Service Info> 08 - Electrical>
Audio/Video/Entertainment/Connectivity>AMPLIFIER, Removal/Installation.
21. Replace the Cargo side trims panels, refer to the detailed removal and installation
procedures available in DealerCONNECT> TechCONNECT> under: Service Info> 23 Body> Interior> PANEL, Quarter Trim Rear, Removal/Installation.
NOTE: **Remove the Sub-Woofer and discard, tape connector back to prevent
rattle**.
22. Replace the rear cargo load floor.
