This PI has been revised to add model years and update the Recommendation/Instructions. Please discard PI0177.

Condition/Concern
Some customers may comment that the steering column lock indicator lamp is on and a service column lock system message is displayed in the DIC. The
customer may also comment that they are unable to unlock the column and the vehicle will not start.
When checking the vehicle for DTCs, the body control module (BCM) may report B2515 or B305A stored in history or current.

Recommendation/Instructions (2010 Model Year)
First, confirm that the body control module (BCM) has the latest software. Replace the steering column and the steering column lock control module with the
new part numbers listed below. Refer to the Steering Column Replacement and the Steering Column Lock Control Module Replacement procedures in SI.
Important: After the installation is complete, program and setup the steering column lock control module and center the steering angle sensor. Refer to the
Steering Column Lock Control Module Programming and Setup and the Steering Angle Sensor Centering procedure in SI.

Recommendation/Instructions (2011-2012 Model Years)
First, confirm that the body control module (BCM) has the latest software. Replace the steering column lock control module with the new part number listed
below. Refer to the Steering Column Lock Control Module Replacement procedure in SI.
Important: After the installation is complete, program and setup the steering column lock control module. Refer to the Steering Column Lock Control Module
Programming and Setup.

Recommendation/Instructions (2013 Model Year)
First, confirm that the body control module (BCM) has the latest software. Reprogram the steering column lock control module (ESCL) using the Service
Programming System (SPS) with the latest calibrations available on TIS2WEB. Refer to the Steering Column Lock Control Module Programming and Setup.
