Some customers may comment that they have an 'SD Card Error' message that appears
on their radio screen, and the navigation system is inoperative.
Cause
Correction
This may be due to a software anomaly in the USB receptacle.
Important: If Customer Satisfaction program 17328 (Reference Number N172117760):
Radio Module Software Update has an open status on the vehicle, please perform this
bulletin prior to performing any further radio software update.
Replace the USB Receptacle and Navigation SD Card.

If you encounter a vehicle with the above concern that
falls within the defined breakpoint dates shown above,
complete the following steps:

1. Remove the audio disc and USB receptacle. Refer
to Audio Disc Player, USB, Auxiliary In, and
Memory Card Receptacle Replacement in SI.
• If there is no yellow dot, replace the USB
receptacle and the navigation SD card.
• If there is a yellow dot, do NOT replace the USB
receptacle. Replace the navigation SD card.

repair should only be used and referenced on vehicles that are within the defined
population and do not have the yellow dot on the part. Step 2 has been updated and step
3 removed. Also, changed the warranty coverage statement.
