Identification Number (VIN) of each vehicle concerned.
DESCRIPTION
On the vehicles affected by this bulletin, the busbar connected to circuit breaker CB13 (power inverter)
may have been installed reversely. It is necessary to check and to correct the installation if applicable. In
the case of improper installation, it is also necessary to check if the threads of the circuit breaker stud are
damaged.
PROCEDURE
DANGER
Park vehicle safely, apply parking brake, stop engine. Prior to working on the vehicle, set the ignition
switch to the OFF position and trip the main circuit breakers equipped with a trip button. On the
Commuter type vehicles, set the battery master switch (master cut-out) to the OFF position.

PART 1 - INSPECTION
1. Locate circuit breaker CB13.
NOTE
Usually, circuit breaker CB13 is installed in the main
power compartment. On some vehicles, it is
installed behind the mirror in the lavatory.

2. Check if the busbar is installed correctly. The “flat”
on the busbar must be placed on the circuit
breaker located on the R.H. side of CB13.
3. If the busbar is installed properly, no further
verification is necessary, just connect the
ground cable (see PART 4).
If the busbar is not installed properly, go to
PART 2- CORRECTING THE
INSTALLATION.

GROUND CABLE DISCONNECTION
4.
Breaker CB13 is connected directly to the battery.
Therefore, it is necessary to disconnect the
ground cable reaching to the chassis at the
battery installation in order to avoid any risk of
short circuit during the removal and installation of
the busbar.

PART 3 – INSTALLING THE BUSBAR PROPERLY
5. Remove the busbar and reinstall in
accordance with the following criterion (see
image at right) :
The “flat” on the busbar must be placed on the
circuit breaker located at the R.H. side of
CB13.
Nut torque: 135 lbs-in (15 Nm)
IMPORTANT NOTE
a) Replace the busbar if it is damaged,
warped or cannot assure a good electrical
contact with the surface of the circuit
breaker.

b) Replace circuit breaker CB13 if the stud or
the threads are damaged and cannot
assure an adequate tightening/clamping of
the busbar. This circuit breaker could be a
150A or a 90A depending on the
equipment installed. CAUTION: Replace
with a circuit breaker of the same
type/capacity.

c) Replace circuit breaker found at the right
of CB13 if the stud or the threads are
damaged and cannot assure an adequate
tightening/clamping of the busbar. This
circuit breaker could be a 150A or a 50A
depending on the equipment installed.
CAUTION: Replace with a circuit
breaker of the same type/capacity.
