DESCRIPTION

This document will guide the user through the installation of a magnetic cabinet door latch on LT series trucks. The magnetic latch

will provide additional rigidity between the cabinet door and door frame. It will also provide a better visual appearance of the cabinet

door fitment.

The vehicle build date will determine the parts needed for the repair. Please reference the service parts information below to

determine the correct parts for the repair. Units built after January 1st 2018 require different hardware for the repair.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE (Trucks Built After January 01 2018):

Step 1 - Position the striker plate in the inner door panel and secure it with the required screw (Figure #1). Hand tighten this screw to

avoid stripping the plastic door assembly.

NOTE: Left side is shown below. The right side is symmetrically opposite.

Step 2 - Install the magnetic latch into the cabinet assembly (Figure #2). It will snap into the premolded cutout.

NOTE: Left side is shown below. The right side is symmetrically opposite.

Step 1 - Remove door from cabinet. There are 6 T25 screws securing the door (Figure #3)

Step 5 - Reassemble inner and outer cabinet door. Then reinstall door assembly onto the cabinet frame. Follow the sequence below
