PROCEDURE:
1. Turn the main battery disconnect switch to the “OFF” position.
2. Go to the rear interior of the bus and using a flat ¼” square key to turn the ¼ turn latches (x4) and remove the
rear access door assembly.

NOTE:

Each top mount bolt and washer (4 on each side) are to be removed, new bolt and washer
installed and torqued one at a time before the next bolt is to be started.

3. Remove and discard one of the existing upper electric motor support bracket bolts with its associated washer.
Apply a few drops of Loctite p/n 081034 to the bolt threads of new bolt p/n 727577 and reinstall the bolt with
new washer p/n 20W08000 in the same threaded hole, torque bolt to 54 ± 5 ft*lbs.
4. Repeat Step 3 on the remaining top electric motor support bracket bolts (x7).

5. Reinstall the rear access door assembly removed in Step 2.
6. If necessary, raise coach in accordance with the New Flyer Service Manual.

NOTE:

Each top mount bolt and washer (4 on each side) are to be removed, new bolt and washer
installed and torqued one at a time before the next bolt is to be started.

7. Remove and discard one of the existing lower electric motor support bracket bolts with its associated washer.
Apply a few drops of Loctite p/n 081034 to the bolt threads of new bolt p/n 727577 and reinstall the bolt with
new washer p/n 20W08000 in the same threaded hole, torque bolts to 54 ± 5 ft*lbs.
8. Repeat Step 7 on the remaining top electric motor support bracket bolts (x7).

9. If necessary, lower coach in accordance with the New Flyer Service Manual.
10. Remove all tools and debris and return the bus to service condition.
11. Turn the main battery disconnect switch to the “ON” position.
