Merge solenoid wiring correction, 2018 Allegro Buses and Phaetons

Dear Tiffin Owner,

It has come to our attention that on some 2018 Allegro Bus and Phaeton motorhomes, there is the
possibility that the merge solenoid may not connect the chassis batteries to the house batteries when
the engine is running. This would occur when the house battery voltage is too low. This could cause the
house batteries not to charge while the engine is running and the house battery voltage is low.

We have included the parts and instructions need to repair this wiring. Please do not attempt to do this
yourself. Please take this letter, the enclosed parts and instruction kit, and the completion form to a
reputable dealer or service center of your choice to have this work done. We are allowing 30 minutes
for this repair to be completed.

This is a step-by-step guide for installing the Merge Harness in your Tiffin Motorhome. You will need a Merge
Harness, pair of wire strippers and a butt splice crimper to complete this installation.

STEP 1. Access the bay with the House
Battery Disconnect and Inverter Rotary
switches. Located on the ceiling of the
basement within that bay is the location
where this update will be performed.

STEP 2. You will want to get into a position that will provide a good vi

STEP 3. Locate the Ignition (IGN) wire. The Ignition wire to locate is wired to the G8, connector J10, Pin 2.

“STEP 3. After locating the IGN wire, cut through the wire and strip away .5” of insulation. Twist the two ends
