PAC CALL VOLUME REPORTING
In order to provide more transparency to our PAC operations, we will now include weekly call volume stats in the
Weekly Parts Update. The chart will highlight the types of calls with their respective totals. We are also using this
data to evaluate call volume spikes and then escalate to the respective business units for recovery options.
For the week of July 11th, the PAC received 2,053 phone calls (Passenger Cars –1,957; Sprinter – 96).

smart Service Contract Model Differences
The maintenance needs of the 2015 and 2016 smart vehicles are different. As a result, when maintenance is
performed on MY2016 vehicles that were sold with a prepaid maintenance plan, MBFS will be crediting the dealers
the difference in the claims reimbursement through the Dealer Reserve Statement. Dealers are still required to
submit the Prepaid Maintenance Plan claim to the Warranty group; no further special action is required by the
dealers.

Literature:
Due to system issues with Paragon 2.0, literature orders cannot be entered for most of the literature part
numbers. The PAC will manually enter your orders until the system is fixed.
In addition to the search function in Paragon, please use StarTekInfo and smartTekInfo to assist with your
identification of literature part numbers.
Requests for credit and notification of short shipments must be communicated directly to R.R. Donnelley at

Lifestyle Accessories Dealer Survey
A survey seeking feedback on the Lifestyle Accessories program will be launch on July 22 and end on July 29. A link to

Retrofit of Smartphone-Integration Package
A retrofit package will allow the integration of compatible smartphones with the relevant operating system via Apple
CarPlay and Android Auto. The retrofit is only suitable on vehicles with COMAND NTG 5*1.
