On some vehicles, the right suspension spring at the rear axle was installed rotated 180° and may exhibit lateral
forces.

Cause:
Suspension springs installed before 11/01/2015 .
These springs can be identified by the presence of 6 spring coils.

Remedy:
Newly designed suspension springs have been available since 01.01.2016; the new springs have 5.5 spring coils.
The part numbers as well as the color codes of the springs have also been changed to aid in identification; see parts
table.
Note on installation of new suspension springs:
As these springs no longer exhibit any lateral forces, they can be installed with the same orientation as on the left side.
Here, the spring end points toward the engine; see the picture in the attachment.
The new suspension springs must always be installed in pairs.
