Complaint:
Active Blind Spot Assist intermittently inoperative.
- The instrument cluster displays the message "Active Blind Spot Assist Inoperative".
- Also the yellow indicator lamps in the outside mirror light up.
- Fault code A80811 is logged in the door control unit fault memory.
- After ignition off/on, the function is temporarily restored.
Cause:
Software error in door control unit.
The front door control units sporadically detect a false short circuit fault at the Blind Spot Assist warning LED (red LED
in outside mirror).
Remedy:
Flash left front door control unit (DCU-LF - N69/1) and right font door control unit (DCU-RF - N69/2) (=>Initial startup).
The repair software is available with add-on 3703 for XD DVD 03/14, with add-on 3704 for XD DVD 05/14 and/or as of
XD DVD 07/14 in the regular way.
