Complaint:
The airbag indicator lamp in the instrument cluster remains on after ignition ON.

One or more of the fault codes B1182, B118A, B11A1, B11A9, B1192, B119A are stored in the control unit N2/7 (restraint system control unit).
Cause:
In several cases caused by specific behavior usage, a fault code may be stored in the control unit N2/7 (restraint system control unit) although a fault cannot be technically verified and the airbags are functional.
Remedy:
1. Process all the test steps for the fault code(s).

2. If, according to the test step, a fault cannot be detected (open circuit / contacting fault / sensor fault), then the control unit N2/7 (restraint system control unit) has to be replaced.

3. Conduct initial operation with the new restraint system control unit using Star Diagnosis.
