Longitudinal member panel is misaligned with front area of fender. (See Figure 1; Item A)

Cause:
Longitudinal member panel may not be correctly engaged in the front bracket on the fender. (See Figure 1; Item A)
Remedy:
Retrofitting of two expansion rivets (on each side of the vehicle) to the attachment of the longitudinal member panel
with the fender (see Figure 2):
1. Raise the vehicle on a vehicle lift. (AR00.60-P-1000RQ)
2. Remove front wheels.
Note: Continue the procedure on one side of the vehicle first, and then repeat on the other side.
3. Remove rear section of fender liner in wheel well (AR88.10-P-1300RQ)
4. Align the longitudinal member panel with the fender; to do this push the longitudinal member panel into the bracket
on the longitudinal member, (See Figure 3; Item B) until the longitudinal member panel locks in place flush with the
fender.
5. Prepare two holes for the expansion rivets. To do this, predrill a 3 mm hole in the center, 5 mm in front of the second and fourth retaining lugs on the fender (see Figure 4, Item C). Then drill out the holes to 6 mm. (See Figure 5,
Item D)
6. Remove drill chips and apply anticorrosion agent in the area of the hole
7. Fit the expansion rivets.
8. Install/assemble in the reverse order.
