Installation of Partition Wall

Note
Sprinter Retrofit of CODE D51- Partition With fixed window for 906.633 - 2500 Cargo Van 144" - with High
Roof (CODE D03)- WITH Factory Code D93 (Factory Omission of partition) Without (CODE T47).

Procedure
1. Move the Seats and seat backrests
completely forward.
2.

Remove B-pillar trim cover; refer to
WIS: AR68.30-D-4700A.

3.

Remove seatbelt height adjusters
from B-pillars.

4.

Install supplied plastic trim stiffeners
(A, Figure 1) on both sides.
Left stiffener: A906 692 02 89
Right stiffener: A906 692 03 89

Note:
Reinstall both seatbelt height adjusters.

Remove screws then remove aluminum
floor trim (arrow, Figure 2) behind left and
right front seats..

Remove both upper foam headliner
supports (arrow, Figure 5).

The supports slide in at the front and are
glued at the top

rivets (arrows) as shown.

Do not tighten the screws all the way at this

Fasten bottom (A, Figure 12) of partion
main panel to vehicle’s floor (B):
Center punch mark, then drill 12 - 4 mm
holes (arrows) along bottom of partition main
panel (A) into floor (B).

Note: Only drill to a maximum depth of
10 mm! Use a drill stop or tape on the drill
bit to insure 10 mm max. depth.
Secure main panel (A) to floor with 12
screws.
Note: Apply primer to bare metal and
holes (arrows) to help prevent corrosion.

16. Fully tighten all fasteners installed in
previous steps:
 Screws: 46 (total).
 10 mm nuts: 20 (total).

Install grab handle (arrow, Figure 14) for
side door entry using:
Handle: 906 815 02 36
Bolts (qty. 2): N000000 002193
Nuts (qty. 2): N000000 003477
Washer: A460 990 19 40

Note:
The washer is only installed on the lower bolt
inside driver’s area.

Install trim panels:
 Install new B-pillar trim panels included in the
kit.
 Install previously removed trim panels in
reverse order:
a. Floor coverings (arrows, Figure 15).
b. Aluminum trim piece (arrow, Figure 2).
c. Sliding door opening trim piece.

(A Front seat bases)

19.

Install rubber window seal (A, Figure 16)
around partition glass (B).

20.

Install insolated copper wire with cross
section of at least 4 mm completely around
the glass (B, Figure 16) into the rubber seal
(A) channel for the partition wall flange.



Note:
Ensure the wire (arrows) overlaps at
least 100 mm at the bottom of the glass.
To make it easier to install seal remove
some of the lubrication on the rubber
seal.

21. Position glass (A, Figure 17) into the
partition wall opening with the aid of a helper.
22.

Press the glass (A, Figure 17) into the
opening and pull out insolated wire all the
way around the glass while the helper
pushes from the other side.

Note:
If necessary apply rubber assembly aid to
help with the installation.

23. Install sound insulation self-adhesive panels
(arrows, Figure 18).
