Complaint:
Engine indicator lamp lights up, fault codes P245900 and P245994 in CDI control unit.
Cause:
Calculation error in ash content / regeneration frequency.
Remedy:
Perform initial quick test.

Read out and document the fault freeze frame data for each fault code from the CDI control unit.

Using the add-ons listed below process the fault codes:

Add-on 4174 for XENTRY release 09/2014

Add-on 4175 for XENTRY release 12/2014

It is absolutely essential to follow the guided diagnostics steps in sequence (even if you already checked something on the list, ensure to click on each step and follow the diagnostic steps completely) for the fault codes (P245900,

P245994).

Perform final quick test.

Should the vehicle return for the same fault code please capture the total mileage driven since the last time the vehicle was in for this code. Open a PTSS case include the total mileage since last visit and enter the short test, control

unit log, freeze frame data and performance data to the case.

Note: The function "Test of exhaust aftertreatment" in the instructions for the fault codes P204FFB/P20F500 or

P2BAAFA/P20F400 must not be performed.
