Important: Do not replace the rail pressure sensor or the fuel pressure sensor (2)!

Connect diagnostic device (see AD00.00-D-2000-04SD).

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------On model 906: Remove air intake hose (see AR09.10-D-8030SF).

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Disconnect electrical connector (1) from rail pressure sensor or fuel pressure sensor (2) (see picture 01).

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Cut off electrical connector (1).
Information: The severed electrical connector (1) is no longer required and can be disposed of.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Cut electrical lines (3) offset (dimension (a) = approx. 45 mm) to each other (see picture 02 and AR54.18D-0100-06A).

Note: This is necessary so that the axial solder connectors (5) are not directly beside each other in subsequent
steps.
Follow the procedure for repairs using axial solder connectors in the WIS document (see AR54.18-D-0100-06A).

Information: Dimension (b) = approx. 15 mm, see picture 02 and AR54.18-D-0100-06A.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Cut electrical lines (4) according to lengths of electrical lines (3).

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Twist axial solder connectors (5) onto electrical lines (3) (see picture 03).
Note: Only the axial solder connectors (5) specified here may be used!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Twist electrical lines (3) together with electrical lines (4) according to the line colors (see picture 04 and
AR54.18-D-0100-06A).

Note: Position the axial solder connectors (5) centrally over the twisted wires. The red soldering rings are in the
center of the axial solder connectors (5).

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Use a heat gun (6) to heat the red soldering rings of the axial solder connectors (5) until the red soldering rings
melt over the twisted wires.
Information: In this way the electrical lines (3, 4) are soldered together (see picture 04 and AR54.18D-0100-06A).
Note: Protect the working area with a heat shield (7).
Follow the procedure for axial solder connectors (5) in the WIS document (see AR54.18-D-0100-06A). Only the
axial solder connectors (5) specified here may be used!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------After the line repair, wrap the repair point with fabric tape (8) (see picture 06 and AR00.19-D-0100-08A).

Note: Cut the protective plastic wire cover (9) in a spiral with scissors (see picture 07). This makes it easier to
pull the protective plastic wire cover (9) over the repair point.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Connect electrical connector repair solution (10) to rail pressure sensor or fuel pressure sensor (2).
