Introduction
Some 2010 – 2011 model year RX 450h vehicles may exhibit a MIL "ON" condition with Diagnostic
Trouble Code (DTC) P0430 stored in the Engine Control Module or ECM (SAE term: Powertrain
Control Module/PCM). Use the following Repair Procedure to address this condition.

Repair Procedure
1. Using Techstream, verify DTC P0430 (Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold [Bank 2])
is present.
2. Inspect the O2 B2S2 voltage and the O2 B2S2 Impedance.
3. If the O2 B2S2 voltage is 1.275 Volts or the O2 Impedance B2S2 is over 300 ohms with the
engine at normal operating temperature replace the B2 O2 sensor.

If the above conditions are not present this bulletin does NOT apply. Proceed with normal
Repair Manual diagnostic procedures.
