IMPORTANT VOLUNTARY EMISSIONS RECALL
This notice applies to your vehicle.
Dear CBR600RR/RA, XR650L, VT750C2B, CRF1000L/LD, VT1300CX/CXA Owner:
This notice is sent to you in accordance with the Clean Air Act and the California Health and Safety Code.
WHAT IS THE REASON FOR THIS NOTICE?
Honda has discovered that a defect exists within the Owner’s Manual of certain 2017 motorcycles. This defect is due
to a printing error on certain pages, including the maintenance schedule. The engine and emissions related
maintenance frequency and level (Inspect, Replace or Lubricate) is incomplete in the Owner’s Manual that was
provided with the motorcycle. If you do not perform the required scheduled maintenance, due to the Owner’s
Manual printing error, the motorcycle may release air pollutants that exceed California and Federal standards.
EMISSION CONSEQUENCE
Vehicle emissions may exceed the allowable emissions standards if the incorrect maintenance schedule
information that was provided with the Motorcycle is followed.
WHAT WILL HONDA DO?
This notice is being sent to you along with a new Owner’s Manual that includes the correct maintenance schedule
information at no cost to you.
WHAT SHOULD YOU DO?
Please replace the Owner’s Manual with the new corrected Owner’s Manual provided and discard the original.

EMISSION WARRANTY
In order to ensure your full protection under the emission warranty provisions, it is recommended that you replace
your Owner’s Manual as soon as possible. Failure to do so could be determined as lack of proper maintenance of
your vehicle.
OWNER INFORMATION
You received this recall notice because government regulations require that notification be sent to the last known
owner of record. Our records are based primarily on state registration and title data, which indicate that you are the
current owner of this motorcycle. If this is not the case, or if any of the information is incorrect, please complete,
sign and return the Information Change Card and we will update our records. If you are a lessor of this motorcycle,
federal regulations require you to forward this notice to your lessee within ten days.

Este aviso corresponde a su vehículo.
Estimado propietario de un vehículo CBR600RR/RA, XR650L, VT750C2B, CRF1000L/LD, VT1300CX/CXA:
Este aviso se le envía de acuerdo con la Ley de Aire Limpio (Clean Air Act) y el Código de Salud y Seguridad de
California (California Health and Safety Act).
¿CUÁL ES EL MOTIVO DE ESTE AVISO?
Honda ha determinado que existe un defecto en el manual del propietario de ciertas motocicletas modelo 2017. Este
defecto se debe a un error de impresión en ciertas páginas, como el cronograma de mantenimiento. La frecuencia y
el nivel del mantenimiento relacionado con el motor y las emisiones (inspeccionar, reemplazar o lubricar) están
incompletos en el manual del propietario que se suministró con la motocicleta. Si usted no realiza el mantenimiento
requerido según el cronograma, debido al error de impresión en el manual del propietario, la motocicleta podría
emitir contaminantes del aire que superan los estándares federales y del estado de California.
CONSECUENCIAS RELACIONADAS CON LAS EMISIONES
Las emisiones del vehículo podrían superar los estándares de emisiones permitidas si se cumple con la
información incorrecta suministrada con la motocicleta respecto del cronograma de mantenimiento.
¿QUÉ HARÁ HONDA?
Este aviso se le envía junto con un nuevo manual del propietario (de manera gratuita) que incluye la información
correcta sobre el cronograma de mantenimiento.
¿QUÉ DEBE HACER?
Reemplace su manual del propietario con el nuevo manual corregido que se le suministró y deseche el original.
