ROAD TEST

Start at left front do or. Check w ndowand door lock operatio n (from master pov-.e r
swtch, if equipped). Continue around vehicle in a counterdockWse di rection
checking each door and wndowopera tion, chil d door locks, sea t belts, interior
condition, all lights, luggage compartment con tents. Finish by checking headlight
aim and continue into UNDER HOOD checks.

SHORT PIN INSTALLATION
To minimize battery discharge the Short Pin has been removed and is stored in the engine compartment relay block.
Install the Short Pin and confirm all related DTCs (8 1650 & 8 1794) are cleared .
If any DTCs besides 81650 and 81794 remain, repair the applicable system according to the Repair Manual.
NOTE
• Removing the Short Pin cuts off the power sources relati ng to the dome,
rad io No. 1, and ECU-B fuses .
• The Short Pin does NOT function as a fuse, so only install it in the
positi on shown.
• If the vehicle is stored in the dealership for a long period of time after
PDS, disconnect the negative(-) battery terminal to prevent battery
discharge. Refer to Service Bulletin No. PG00 1-06, "Battery
Maintenance for In-Stock Vehicles & Pre-Delivery, " for battery
ma intenance informa tion.

COMPASS CALIBRATION
Refer to the Repair Manua I for the Calibration procedure for veh icles equipped with a compass in the accessory meter.

NOTE
• Do NOT perform calibra tion of the compass in a place where the Earth's magnetic field is subject to interference (underground
parking , under a steel tower, between buildings, roof parking, near a railroad crossing, near a large veh icle , etc.).
• During calibration, do NOT operate electric systems (moon roof, power windows , etc .) as they may interfere with
the calibration.

FRONT BUMPER LOWER SIDE SUPPORT INSTALLATION
The front bumper lower side support set is stored in the
luggage compartment to avoid damage during transportation.
1. Attach the 4 claws and guide to each support.
2. Install the left front bumper lower side support to the
front bumper by engaging the four claws and inserting
the 2 clips .
3. Repeat step 2 for the right side.

FRONT LICENSE PLATE AND MOUNTING BRACKET INSTALLATION*
The front license plate mounting bracket and 2 self tapping screws are loaded in the luggage compartment at the assembly plant.
1. Align the installation holes "A " of the mounting bracket with the dimples on the front bumper cover.
2. Install the 2 self-tapping screws th rough the mounting bracket and into the front bumper cover at the dimples .
NOTICE
• Do NOT pre~ rill holes into the bumper.
• Do NOT overtighten the self-tapping screws.
• Horizontally install the self-tapping screw to the boss of the
bumper cover.

HINT
• Holes "A" are used for installation of the mounting bracket to
the front bumper cover.
• Holes "B" are used for installa tion of the front license plate to
the mounting bracket.
3.

Install the front ricense plate to the mounting bracket using
2 self-tapping screws.
NOllCE
Do NOT overtighten the self-tapping screws .
