Master 2 Speed Fan Clutch
DESCRIPTION
Certain Horton 2 speed fan drives may have either loose or missing magnets.
An updated fan center section kit is available for repair

INSPECTION
1. Inspect the fan drive magnets (2).
2. Inspect for missing magnets or loose magnets.

3. Fan Drives with blue paint on the outside of the magnet holder flange as shown in Photo 1 have the
updated center section kit installed and does not need further inspection.
4. If either one or both of the magnets are missing, perform a thorough inspection of the fan blade, fan
shroud and hood for damaged caused by the magnets.
5. If damage to any of these components are found they should be replaced or repaired (Hood Damage).
6. The hood repair if needed must be pre approved if over $750.00 (see iApprove)
7. For Fan drive repair follow one of the two options below.

Preferred Fan Drive Option 1:
1. If one or both of the magnets are loose or missing , replace the center section with HOR995539 Center
Section Kit. Photo 2
2. Complete installation and repair instructions in the kit.

Interim Fan Drive Repair Option 2:
NOTE: Only used when the above repair kit is not available
1. If one or both of the magnets are loose, knock both magnet flanges off the center section
2. If only one magnet is loose or missing remove both magnet flanges
3. This can be performed with the fan drive in chassis. Use a blunt punch and hammer to knock off both
flanges. Photo 3
4. When repair kit is available replace the center section
NOTE : Without magnets the fan clutch will operate as a single speed on / off clutch.
